KMC designates three road sections for one-way traffic

KATHMANDU: Three road sections within the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) have been designated for one-way traffic.

According to Jagatman Shrestha, a traffic expert consultant for the Metropolitan Municipality, the Metropolitan Municipality will make the road section where dual traffic is currently operating one-way through the combined efforts of the people’s representatives of the ward where the road is located, the Traffic Police Office, and the Metropolitan Municipality.

The road connecting Kathmandu and Lalitpur to Tripureshwor through Setopul, Gusingal, and Milan is no longer accessible from Tripureshwor.

Similarly, turning left from the front of Tri-Chandra Campus and through Ganeshsthan, Pragya Bhawan, and Kamaladi on the way to Ratnapark from Jamal and Durbar Marg would be prohibited.

Turning left from Kathmandu Plaza on the road stretch towards Hattisar from Putli road is no longer possible.

The road from here to the Mahendra Statue has been designated as one-way.
