Fire in Gamgadhi started from a computer shop

KATHMANDU: A fire broke out in Gamgadhi Bazar, the headquarters of Mugu district last night.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Birendra Thapa of the District Police Office Mugu said that six houses were damaged in a fire in the market north of the Kalika Malika temple in Gamgadhi Bazar.

He stated that the fire had been put out by the Nepali Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, City Police, and local residents.

According to him, the fire started from the computer shop last night. Pranau Thapa informed that the houses of Tarke Lama, Sonam Lama, Jung Aidy, Santona Khatri, Panch Sejuwal, PR Malla, Pradeep Rawal and Putali Shahi were destroyed in the fire.

The fire was put out by security forces who used the water pipe line provided in Gamgadhi Bazar to do so. On Kartik 29, 2078, a fire damaged 19 buildings in Gamgadhi Bazar’s lower market.
