1 dead after huge tree collapses in Kuala Lumpur

KATHMANDU: A massive tree collapse in Kuala Lumpur city center on Tuesday resulted in the death of a 47-year-old man, according to the Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department.

Another individual, aged 26, sustained injuries in the incident.

The collapse damaged a total of 17 cars, obstructing a significant road and the monorail track above.

The tree fell due to strong winds and heavy rain on Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency responders are actively clearing the tree and debris to normalize traffic flow, as stated in the official statement.
