Siddha Baba acquitted in extortion case

KATHMANDU: Krishna Bahadur Giri, also known as Siddha Baba, was acquitted by District Court Sunsari of raping a female disciple.

On Wednesday, the bench of Judge Hari Prasad Koirala concluded that the claim was insufficient and acquitted the claim.

According to Bharatmani Pokharel of District Court Sunsari, the judgment to acquit was made since the government’s claims were not met.

Previously, Siddha Baba was acquitted by the Sunsari district court. However, the Biratnagar High Court ordered it back to the district, asking it to re-judge the evidence.

The district court acquitted him for the second time.
