Office Romance Scandal: Kajiman faces banishment amid controversy, Accounts Officer contactless

KATHMANDU: Kajiman Rai, the former chief administrative officer of Ilam’s Maijogmai Rural Municipality, who had a ‘romance’ with the Accounts Officer, was forbidden from appearing in Jhapa’s Barhadashi Rural Municipality.

This decision was made at the Executive Committee meeting of Barhadashi Village on Friday.

Kajiman Rai had reached at the office on Bhadra 12 (Aug 29) to appear. He returned to Kathmandu after presenting for two days.

Meanwhile, after a video showing him having sexual relations with a girl in the office surfaced, Rai was barred from returning to work, according to the Barhadashi Rural Municipality.

Khemraj Thapa, who formerly served as the municipality’s chief administrative officer, was transferred by the ministry and sent to Gaurigunj, but the municipality has yet to send him.

A video depicting sexual activity involving Chief Administrative Officer Kajiman Rai and Accounts Officer Reshma Rai while living in Ilam’s Maijogmai Rural Municipality has recently gone viral on social media.

The Barhadashi Rural Municipality stopped Rai from entering the office after a video of their sexual activities at the office went viral on social media.

As the case became public, the municipality stated that Maijogmai’s accounting officer, Reshma Rai, is no longer in communication with the office.

Reshma was appointed as interim chief administrative officer by the municipality after Chief Administrative Officer Rai was transferred to Bahardashi.
