Man commits self-immolation & jumps from 6th floor of Bir Hospital

KATHMANDU: A man has died after jumping from the sixth floor of the surgical building of Bir Hospital.

The man who leapt from the sixth floor of the surgical building is roughly 40 years old, according to Kumodh Dhungel, SP and spokesperson of District Police Complex Kathmandu. His identity has yet to be disclosed.

He entered the hospital pretending to be the patient’s relative. He then proceeded to the sixth storey and jumped.

According to the hospital administration, none of his patients are now hospitalized.

His body was kept at the University Teaching Hospital for post-mortem examination.
