Mysterious death of Paneru in hotel room; woman accompanying him under arrest
Paneru died while receiving treatment at Seti State Hospital.
KATHMANDU: A youth from Dhangadhi in Kailali died after being discovered unconscious in a hotel in Kanchanpur’s Mahendranagar.
Bishnu Paneru, 37, of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-4, Boradandi, died on Saturday after being found unconscious at the Delight Hotel near the bus park in Mahendranagar on Friday.
Paneru died while receiving treatment at Seti State Hospital, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Prakash Dangi, spokesperson for the District Police Office Kanchanpur.
Sumitra Sapkota alias Sumi, 32, of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan-14 Phulbari, who was staying with Paneru in the hotel where he was found unconscious, was arrested after his death.
Sapkota was arrested from Dhangadhi with the help of Kailali police on Saturday, he said.
According to DSP Dangi, the incident is being investigated.
