Landslide in Kalikhola, Mugling-Narayangadh road closed both ways

KATHMANDU: A landslide on the Narayangadh-Muglin road segment near Kalikhola has closed the route.

This morning, a landslide occured at Kalikhola, Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-4.

Vehicles on that stretch of road have been stopped in both directions, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Vijayraj Pandit, Information Officer of District Police Office Chitwan.

‘The work of clearing landslides has begun,’ he added. It is impossible to predict how long it will take to remove the landslide because it is pouring.’

District Traffic Police Office Chitwan has requested to use an alternative route as it seems that it will take time to remove the landslide.

Even before this highway was repeatedly blocked due to landslides.
