KATHMANDU: Three persons were killed when a landslide destroyed the house in Bilandu, Champadevi Rural Municipality-8 of Okhaldhunga.

Ran Bahadur Gurung, 36, his wife Shivamaya, 31, their 10-year-old son Dinesh, and their 18-month-old daughter Kritika were killed in the landslide on Thursday night.

The remains of the Gurung couple, who were buried in the landslide, were discovered early this morning, while the bodies of Dinesh and Kritika, who had been missing for some time, were discovered some time ago.

The landslide washed away three houses, including Ran Bahadur’s, according to District Police DSP Deepak Bahadur KC.

Despite the fact that the houses of locals Bal Bahadur Gurung and Narsingh Gurung were destroyed, the family members managed to escape.

Nepal Police and Armed Police teams have been operating in the landslide-affected region since last night, according to the police.
