Sampang, mayor of Dharan, expressed his joy at Resham Chaudhary’s release
He has also said that he has protested many times for the release of Resham.
KATHMANDU: Harka Sampang, mayor of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City, expressed happiness on the release of Nagarik Unmukti Party guardian and former MP Resham Chaudhary.
Chaudhary, who had been imprisoned in Dillibazar after being convicted in the Tikapur murder case, was released today after gaining amnesty from the President on the occasion of Republic Day. He was spared almost 15 years of imprisonment.
Mayor Sampang was delighted with this. He has also said that he has protested many times for the release of Resham.
“Sagar baru sukera gaijala, janna maya kahile ni sukera, I used to remember Resham Chaudhary singing this song, this is his music”, Sampang wrote on the social network on Monday, “Many times I even demonstrated demanding his release, today I am happy.”
