Low visibility followed by adverse weather today led to the disruption of domestic flights.

According to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), the airport in Kathmandu is open, but almost all airports outside have remained closed.

Fog and mist in the Terai plains have caused low visibility. As TIA general manager Premnath Thakur said, Pokhara Regional International Airport (PIA) reported no flight so far today due to bad weather.

The Yeti Airlines has suspended its all flights for today to mourn the fatal plane crash killing 72 people in Pokhara on Sunday.

At present, 20 airline companies including 11 helicopter companies provide services to the domestic category.

There is presently a general influence of the Western low-pressure system in the country, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

There will be partly to generally cloudy in the Sudurpashim, Karnali, Lumbini and Gandaki States today. While the Terai plains report fog and mist, there is a probability of light snowfall today in a few places of high hills and mountains.
