Airfares tumbled as drop in fuel prices

KATHMANDU: The Air Service Operators Association has decided to reduce airfares.

The federation will reduce the airfare as the price of fuel falls. From Monday, the Nepal Air Service Corporation has reduced the price of aviation fuel by Rs 20.

In addition, the most expensive flight, Kathmandu-Dhangadhi, has dropped by 885 rupees. The price for this form was 8,395 rupees. It is currently 7,510 rupees.

Similarly, the fare for the mountain flight from Kathmandu has been reduced by Rs 685, with the maximum fare set at Rs 14,205. The airfare between Kathmandu and Bhadrapur has been reduced by Rs 600.

Similarly, the fare from Kathmandu to Surkhet has decreased by 690 rupees. The fare has been reduced by 485 rupees on the Kathmandu-Biratnagar route, 410 rupees on the Kathmandu-Bhairahawa route, 655 rupees on the Kathmandu-Nepaldunge route, 320 rupees on the Kathmandu-Pokhara route, 260 rupees on the Kathmandu-Janakpur route, and 215 rupees on the Kathmandu-Bharatpur route.

The new fare, according to the federation, will go into effect on Jan 11.
