In Pics: Food Management begins sale of goats & chyangra

KATHMANDU: Food Management and Trading Company Limited has begun selling goats, he-goats, and Chyangra (mountain goats). Sales began this morning from the company’s regional office in Thapathali.

According to the company, Chyangra was brought from Dang, Dhading, and Makwanpur, as well as goats and he-goats from Darchula. 227 chickens were brought to Kathmandu in the first phase.

The company set the price of goats and he-goats at Rs 680 per kg on Tuesday, and Chyangra at Rs 1,260 per kg. This has been discounted by Rs 10 per kg.

The company set the price of goats and he-goats at Rs 650 per kg last year.
