KATHMANDU: JAN. 19 – Religious programs have also been halted with immediate effect since newer variants of COVID-19 ‘Omicron’ are on the increase.

From today until the end of Magh, all three district administration offices in the Kathmandu Valley have issued announcements declaring that only regular worship, meditation, and prayers would be permitted at temples, mosques, monasteries, churches, and other religious locations. There will be no other forms of worshiping.

The Pashupati Area Development Fund has also issued a notification declaring that all activities except traditional daily worship at Pashupatinath, Guhyeshwari and other temples in the area have been halted as of today.
