Visiting religious places for worship in valley halted

KATHMANDU: JAN. 18 – All forms of worship in the Kathmandu Valley have been prohibited, with the exception of daily worship and prayers at religious sites.

Due to the spread of COVID-19, the three district administration offices in the Kathmandu Valley have prohibited all worship except daily worship and prayers at religious places in the valley, according to the District Administration Office, Lalitpur.

Temple visits and worship have been halted from Tuesday through the end of Magh owing to an increase in COVID-19 infection. The prohibition on all types of gatherings, assemblies, and conferences with more than 25 people will remain in effect until the end of Magh.
