Sujita, who called ‘abducted’, was found dead

CHITWAN: JULY 5 – The body of Sujita Bhandari, 23, of Rapti Municipality-3 has been found dead. The body was found in the local Brahmasthani community forest on Sunday evening.

She had been missing since July 25. Sujita, who was on her way to a friend’s house at 6 am on July 25, has been missing since that day. Family members have been saying that she called her sister at 12 o’clock on the same day and told her that she had been abducted.

The locals, who had gone to the forest to pick mushrooms, had informed the police after seeing the body. The body has been found in a decomposed state. Her body was found stuck in a bush in the middle of the forest, police said.

Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Chitwan, Deputy Superintendent of Police Surya Thapa said that a white substance was found in a bottle near the body and details were yet to come. He said that the body was not picked up for the study of the incident.

Chief District Officer Premlal Lamichhane said that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has been investigating the incident since the disappearance of the girl.
