Chaminda Vaas as Sri Lanka’s bowling coach

Agency. World-renowned bowler Chaminda Vaas has become the bowling coach of Sri Lanka’s national men’s cricket team.

Vaas has been appointed bowling coach for the series against the West Indies, replacing Australia’s David Sucker. Sucker resigned on Thursday.

Vaas has already coached the Sri Lankan national team three times in 2013, 2015 and 2017. He has taken 400 wickets in ODIs and 355 in Tests for the Sri Lanka national team.

Sri Lanka will play three Twenty20 and one ODI and two Test cricket matches in the West Indies tour.
