KATHMANDU: In the T20 World Cup 2026 clash at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Friday, Zimbabwe set a target of 170 runs for Australia.

Batting first, Zimbabwe got off to a strong start as Brian Bennett and Tadiwanashe Marumani put together a 61-run opening partnership in 7.3 overs.

Bennett later anchored the innings alongside Ryan Burl, contributing to a 70-run stand for the second wicket in 51 balls.

Bennett emerged as the top scorer, remaining unbeaten on 64 from 56 deliveries, striking seven boundaries.

Marumani contributed a quickfire 35 off 21 balls, while Burl added 35 from 30.

In the middle order, captain Sikandar Raza played a brisk unbeaten 25 off 13 balls, guiding Zimbabwe to a total of 169 for 2 in their 20 overs.

For Australia, Cameron Green and Marcus Stoinis claimed one wicket apiece.
