KATHMANDU: Sagar Dhakal, who contested the elections alongside Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, is currently in Ukraine.

According to the information he has provided on social media, he has recently reached a village in Ukraine.

He stated that he traveled to Ukraine to work on water projects from the Amazon rainforest.

He claimed that water was delivered to settlements along the Russia-Ukraine border by drilling and fixing boreholes in five locations.

“I have come to Ukraine to work on water projects in the Amazon jungle. We have drilled five wells in villages near the Russia-Ukraine border and repaired them, supplying water,” he wrote. “It’s a joy to be in Ukrainian villages, where the good news is that the water pump itself came first. Other routine tasks will follow,” he added.

Currently, there is a war between Russia and Ukraine. He stated that he will be in Nepal in two weeks.

He contested against Deuba in the previous election for a seat in the House of Representatives from Dadeldhura. Dhakal received 13,42 votes whereas Deuba was elected with 25,534 votes.
