KATHMANDU: Vianet has announced that its internet and viaTV services have largely returned to normal operations.

While not yet running at full capacity, the company confirmed that most customers are now able to access services.

The remaining servers are being transferred to another data center, and full restoration is expected by Sunday, 29 Bhadra.

However, customers may still experience minor slowdowns until then.

According to Vianet, the following services have been made available:

  • Vianet Customer Mobile App is fully functional again.

  • Call Center services are now operating with increased capacity to provide faster customer support.

  • Fiber technicians have worked tirelessly day and night to repair most, if not all, fiber breakages caused by recent incidents.

Despite facing an unexpected and large-scale technical challenge, Vianet stated that its team managed to restore services to a normal level within just 48 hours. The company said this reflects both the resilience of its network and the dedication of its team.

Vianet further noted that the experience has motivated it to strengthen systems to minimize risks of future disruptions.

The company also expressed gratitude to customers for their patience, understanding, and trust during the service interruption.
