Gold prices rise, silver falls slightly
The price of gold rose by Rs 800 per tola, pushing it to Rs 279,100 per tola.
KATHMANDU: The local bullion market saw a mixed movement today, with gold prices recording a modest increase while silver edged lower, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.
The price of gold rose by Rs 800 per tola, pushing it to Rs 279,100 per tola.
In contrast, silver declined by Rs 55 per tola, settling at Rs 4,180.
On Thursday, gold was traded at Rs 278,300 per tola, while silver stood higher at Rs 4,235 per tola.
A day earlier, on Wednesday, gold had reached Rs 283,500 per tola and silver was priced at Rs 4,485.
In the international market, gold is currently being traded at around $4,022 per ounce, while silver is valued at approximately $58 per ounce, reflecting ongoing volatility in global precious metal prices.
