Vatsalya EWV ready to showcase world-class Women’s Volleyball in Pokhara
The league is all set to host its prestigious 2nd edition from 05th of September to 13th of September, 2025.
KATHMANDU: The Vatsalya Everest Women’s Volleyball League (EWV) announces the official venue for its 2nd edition as the Multi-purpose Covered Hall, Pokhara.
The league is all set to host its prestigious 2nd edition from 05th of September to 13th of September, 2025.
The confirmation has been formally sanctioned by the Nepal Sports Council under the Government of Nepal, and the interpretation has been shared with the Nepal Volleyball Association.
Pokhara, known for its natural beauty and status as Nepal’s leading tourist destination, has a long-standing passion for volleyball. The city’s active sports culture and enthusiastic supporters make it an ideal location for hosting this ground breaking women’s volleyball league.
The decision to host the league in Pokhara reflects Vatsalya EWV’s policy of decentralizing the tournament and establishing it as a traveling sporting property.
This approach promotes sport tourism, inspires emerging volleyball players by bringing top-level matches closer to them, and contributes to local economic activity through employment generation in event operations, hospitality, and related services.
The 2nd edition in Pokhara aligns with Vatsalya EWV’s mission to provide opportunities for athletes, engage communities, and enhance Nepal’s presence as a destination for sports-based events.
The tournament will feature six competitive franchise teams with 54 players from Nepal and 18 foreign players.
It will include Tiktok as its official entertainment partner for mass promotion, fan engagement programs, and matches broadcast nationally and internationally.
