Ukraine to co-produce strategic drones with Germany
KATHMANDU: Ukraine has announced its readiness to jointly produce strategic drones and unmanned systems with Germany, marking a significant step in strengthening defence cooperation and advancing modern warfare capabilities.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha made the announcement during the Antalya Diplomacy Forum on Friday, stating that Ukraine is increasingly focusing on technology-driven defence rather than relying solely on manpower on the battlefield.
According to Sybiha, the planned collaboration with Germany on strategic drone production is expected to enhance operational efficiency and help save soldiers’ lives by reducing direct exposure to combat zones.
He also noted that Ukraine has already begun receiving large drone packages from the United Kingdom as part of ongoing military support.
