UAE beats Canada by 5 wickets

KATHMANDU: The UAE defeated Canada by five wickets in a thrilling T20 World Cup Group D clash in Delhi on Friday.

UAE chased down Canada’s target of 151 runs with 2 balls to spare, winning by 5 wickets.

UAE’s Aryans Sharma starred with a blazing 74 off 53 balls, including 6 fours and 3 sixes, leading his team to victory in just 19.4 overs.

Earlier, Canada posted 150/7, with Harsh Thakur top-scoring at 50 off 41 balls (2 fours, 3 sixes), supported by Navnit Dhaliwal’s 34 runs.

UAE’s Junaid Siddiqui shone with the ball, taking 5 wickets for 35 runs to restrict Canada.
