Two youths arrested on charges of gang rape

DANG: The police have arrested two teenagers on charge of gang rape of a woman in Ghorahi, Dang.
Nirmal Chaudhary, 30, and Manoj Chaudhary, 23, of Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan-17, were arrested, according to District Police Office Dang.
Last Friday night, they allegedly gang-raped a 29-year-old woman in Ghorahi-17. The woman came to Rapti Institute of Health Sciences three months ago for her husband’s treatment. The husband and wife used to earn a living by begging in Ghorahi after they ran out of money while treating the husband.
According to SP Bir Bahadur Oli, Chief of Police of District Police Office, Dang, they reached Gaju Chaudhary’s house in Ghorahi-17 Belbhar while they were going to beg and stayed in the courtyard of Chaudhary’s house on Friday night.
Nirmal and Manoj allegedly beat up the woman’s husband and dragged her 25 meters away while she was sleeping with him.
According to SP Oli, a case has been filed against them for the crime of coercion based on the victim’s complaint.
According to police, the Dang District Court extended the deadline by 5 days on Sunday and began the investigation.
