KATHMANDU: Two separate murder incidents have been reported from Bhaktapur and Bajura districts, both involving domestic and personal disputes, with police confirming the arrest of the suspects in each case.

In Bhaktapur Municipality–10, Chhaling, a man living in a rented house allegedly killed his wife during a domestic dispute.

According to Police Circle Bhaktapur, Deputy Superintendent of Police Prakash Jabegu, the accused, identified as Bidur Bishwakarma of Shankharapur Municipality–6, Nanglebhare, attacked his 33-year-old wife, Salina, with a khukuri, resulting in her death.

During the same attack, the couple’s eight-year-old son, Trishal, was injured.

The incident occurred last night, and police have arrested the suspect on charges of murder.

In a separate incident in Bajura, a young man was killed during a dispute in Budhinanda Municipality–6, Kotila.

The deceased has been identified as 32-year-old Nir Rawat, according to the District Police Office Bajura.

Police said the incident took place on Wednesday night when 19-year-old Tekendra Rawat allegedly struck Nir Rawat with a stone, causing his death.

The accused, who is reportedly a relative of the deceased, was arrested immediately by a team from the Area Police Office, Budhinanda.
