SuryaJyoti unveils fully digital e-Karja service
The initiative aims to expand digital financial services and provide customers with a fast, convenient, and hassle-free borrowing experience.
KATHMANDU: SuryaJyoti Life Insurance has officially launched its new campaign, ‘e-Karja – Jhyappai Campaign’, introducing what it claims to be Nepal’s first fully digital insurance-backed loan service.
The initiative aims to expand digital financial services and provide customers with a fast, convenient, and hassle-free borrowing experience.
Through the campaign, eligible policyholders can now apply for and receive loans entirely online without visiting a branch or completing lengthy paperwork.
Under the scheme, customers can access instant loans of up to Rs 200,000 against their insurance policies. To encourage digital adoption, the company is also offering a 100 percent cashback on the Rs 50 service fee charged during the loan application process.
According to the insurer, the entire lending process is fully digital, eliminating the need for physical documents or additional paperwork.
Eligible policyholders can first check their loan eligibility through the SuryaJyoti Mobile App and then complete the application via a dedicated Khalti payment link or through the Khalti app under Insurance & Surakshya → Insurance Loan → SuryaJyoti e-Karja.
After entering their policy number and completing the required steps, customers can receive the loan amount instantly.
The company believes the ‘e-Karja – Jhyappai Campaign’ will mark a significant milestone in Nepal’s digital insurance lending sector by improving access to quick, secure, and seamless financial services. It also expects the initiative to support the country’s broader Digital Nepal vision.
SuryaJyoti Life said it will actively promote the campaign through its official social media channels and digital platforms and has called on stakeholders to help spread awareness so that more policyholders can benefit from the service.
