Traffic Police office reopens in New Buspark

KATHMANDU: Dan Bahadur Karki has inaugurated the newly reconstructed office building of the Traffic Police Circle at New Buspark, Kathmandu, amid a formal ceremony on Thursday.
Following the inauguration, the police chief inspected the facility and honored individuals who contributed to the reconstruction with letters of appreciation and commendation.
Speaking at the event, IGP Karki expressed gratitude to all organizations and contributors who supported the rebuilding effort, emphasizing that the upgraded infrastructure should deliver more citizen-friendly and professional services.
He underscored that a safe and civilized society depends on strong cooperation between police and the public, noting that community support has further motivated the force.
Karki also urged police personnel to improve service delivery by adopting respectful communication and behavior, stressing that policing is not merely a profession but a public service. He expressed confidence that the new building will inspire more effective, citizen-centered policing.
The program featured remarks from Ishwar Karki, who delivered the vote of thanks. Local representatives, including Tarakeshwar Municipality Deputy Mayor Srijana Burlakoti Aryal and Ward No. 26 Chair Khem Raj Tiwari of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, also extended their best wishes.
Senior Superintendent of Police Nabaraj Adhikari delivered the welcome speech, while Reconstruction Committee Chair Rakesh Singh presented the project report.
The event was attended by senior police officials, local representatives, journalists, social workers, and community members.
