Toyam Raya as Finance Secretary, Ram Prasad Ghimire as Revenue Secretary

KATHMANDU: The government has appointed Toyam Raya as the Finance Secretary. Industry, Commerce and Supply Minister Raya was appointed as Finance Secretary in the cabinet meeting held on Thursday.

The meeting has appointed Dr. Ram Prasad Ghimire as Revenue Secretary. Ghimire was working in the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority.

Previously, Krishnahari Pushkar was Finance Secretary and Rameshwor Dangal was Revenue Secretary.

Janardhan Sharma, the previous Finance Minister, brought Pushkar to the Finance Ministry.

However, it is understood that the current minister, Bishnu Paudel, despite claiming that he is not a finance cadre, has begun to try to improve the crisis economy by appointing a finance cadre as finance secretary.
