KATHMANDU: Tottenham Hotspur secured a crucial 2-1 victory over Aston Villa in the Premier League, climbing out of the relegation zone with an important three points.
Tottenham took the lead in the 12th minute when Conor Gallagher unleashed a stunning strike from around 25 yards, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance.
The hosts doubled their advantage in the 25th minute as Richarlison powered in a header from a precise cross delivered by Mathys Tel.
Tottenham controlled much of the second half and defended their lead effectively.
