KATHMANDU: A fresh dispute has emerged in the Susta area of West Nawalparasi following recent remarks by Prime Minister Balen Shah on the Nepal–India border issue.
According to local residents, a team of India’s Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) entered Nepali territory and pressured workers to stop the construction of a riverside embankment.
The incident reportedly took place on Sunday evening in Ward No. 5 of Susta Rural Municipality, along the banks of the Narayani River.
Locals said a group of around 40–50 SSB personnel arrived at the construction site and objected to the ongoing work, issuing warnings to halt the project.
