Tamu Lhosar strengthens Nepal’s unity in diversity: Dahal
Dahal extended his greetings to Tamu communities across the country and abroad, as well as to all Nepali citizens, wishing them happiness, peace, prosperity, and continuous progress in the New Year.
KATHMANDU: National Assembly Chair Narayan Prasad Dahal has emphasized that the Constitution embraces unity in diversity as the backbone of the nation.
On the occasion of Tamu Lhosar, a festival of special significance celebrated by the Tamang (Gurung) community, Dahal extended his greetings to Tamu communities across the country and abroad, as well as to all Nepali citizens, wishing them happiness, peace, prosperity, and continuous progress in the New Year.
Speaking on the occasion, he said, “Nepalis are rich in diverse languages, cultures, festivals, and traditions. This diversity has given Nepal a unique identity in the world. Tamu Lhosar plays a distinctive role in preserving and promoting the folk culture of the Gurung community.”
He further added that indigenous festivals like Tamu Lhosar are vital in fostering social unity, harmony, religious tolerance, and strengthening national integration among Nepalis.
