Surya Nepal clarifies misleading social media claims on extra load-shedding charges
Surya Nepal remains fully committed to complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and directives issued by the Government of Nepal and its agencies.
KATHMANDU: Surya Nepal Pvt. Ltd. has taken note of certain misleading information being circulated on social media regarding additional electricity charges payable for the alleged use of electricity through the trunk line during the load-shedding period imposed by the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) in the past.
Surya Nepal has already paid all dues in this regard, as advised by NEA.
Furthermore, as per the decision of the Council of Ministers dated 2081/01/27, since additional charges are applicable only for the period from Paush 2072 to Baishakh 2075, it has been determined that Surya Nepal has, in fact, paid in excess.

Surya Nepal respectfully urge all concerned to refrain from circulating or sharing misleading information, as the company has settled the relevant dues well in advance in accordance with official directives.
