NEPSE index falls by 8.50 points, turnover reaches Rs 2.83 billion

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) continued its downward trend today, with the benchmark index declining by 8.50 points to settle at 2,651.52.
According to NEPSE, the sensitive index—tracking large-cap companies—also dropped by 0.64 points to 458.23.
A total of 338 companies were traded during the session, with 6.48 million shares changing hands, generating a turnover of Rs 2.83 billion.
In terms of trading volume, Sapana Pharmaceuticals topped the list, followed by Reliance Spinning Mills, Saptakoshi Development Bank, Ankhu Khola Hydropower, and Nepal SBI Bank.
Meanwhile, investors in Taksar Piluwa Khola Hydropower, Yambaling Hydropower, Kalika Laghubitta, Saptakoshi Development Bank, and Reliance Spinning Mills recorded gains. On the losing side, Bhujung Hydropower, CYC Nepal Laghubitta, Bhagawati Hydropower, Sanima Debenture, and Three Star Hydropower were among the top losers.
