Sudurpaschim CM Dirgha Sodari secures vote of confidence

KATHMANDU: Sudurpaschim Stat Chief Minister Dirgha Sodari has secured the vote of confidence.
He secured 28 votes in favor, while zero votes were cast against him.
The meeting of the State Assembly was convened this morning at 10:30 am for the purpose of the vote of confidence.
Amid the boycott by the Congress and Nepali Congress Resham faction, Sodari garnered the vote of confidence.
Sodari, who was appointed as Chief Minister on April 18 with the support of the Unified Socialist, including CPN (Maoist), and Rastriya Janamorcha, received backing from a coalition comprising of CPN-UML, Maoist Centre, Rastriya Janamorcha, and others.
Out of the 53-member State Assembly, there are 18 members from the Nepali Congress, 11 from the Maoist Center including the Speaker, 11 from CPN-UML, 7 from Rastriya Janamorcha, 4 from Unified Socialist, and one each from RPP and an independent member.
