Stone tap & water storage tank inaugurated in Shantinagar

KATHMANDU: A stone tap and water storage tank have been inaugurated to provide clean drinking water in Shantinagar, Mahakal Oralo, Ward No. 6, Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

The stone tap and water storage tank were constructed by the Shree Bouddhanath Area Development Committee, following both Bouddhanath and Vedic traditions, with artistic design.

Chair Lama stated that the committee has been actively involved in preserving heritage sites of archaeological and historical importance, not only in Ward No. 6 but also across Area No. 3.
He emphasized that protecting historic sites, which are at risk due to neglect, is a shared responsibility.

Local residents expressed relief that the newly constructed stone tap and water storage tank would help address the longstanding problem of access to clean drinking water.
