KATHMANDU: Energy Minister and newly appointed Deputy President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Kulman Ghising, has emphasized that the recent party merger prioritizes the will of the people and the national interest over personal gain or political ambition.

Announcing the unification of RSP and the Ujyalo Nepal Party on social media, Ghising described the move as a decisive step toward guiding the country toward the right path.

He stated that strengthening and institutionalizing the Ujyalo Nepal campaign requires political power, and he called for continued support and cooperation from citizens.

The draft for the merger was finalized during a crucial discussion on Monday evening at the office of RSP leader Asim Sah in Kamalpokhari.

The meeting was attended by three influential figures in Nepali politics: RSP President Rabi Lamichhane, Kathmandu Mayor Balendra Shah (Balen), and UNP Patron Kulman Ghising.
