KATHMANDU: Siddhartha Bank Limited has provided sewing machines to women from poor, underprivileged, and marginalized Kasgar communities in Kailali and Banke districts.

The bank organized separate handover programs on Chaitra 8 in Kailali and Chaitra 10 in Banke, aiming to support income generation for these women.

A total of 15 sewing machines were distributed—5 in Kailali and 10 in Banke.

The initiative seeks to improve the living standards of Kasgar women by helping them turn their sewing skills into practical income.

By offering these machines, the bank expects women to engage in sewing, garment repair, and order-based work, creating opportunities for regular earnings.

Siddhartha Bank believes this support will not only boost household incomes but also positively impact children’s education, health, and overall family well-being.

The program encourages women to become self-reliant while earning from their own homes and communities.

Committed to sustainable development, the bank continues to prioritize social welfare and plans to extend similar initiatives in the future to contribute to community growth.
