Kumari Bank plants 300 saplings in Ilam on World Environment Day 2026

KATHMANDU: On the occasion of World Environment Day 2026, Kumari Bank Limited has planted 300 saplings in Ilam district as part of its environmental conservation initiative.
The plantation program was carried out through the bank’s Fikkal branch in collaboration with Ilam Municipality and the Lumbini World Peace Forum. The activity was conducted within the tea garden area owned by Ilam Municipality.
According to the bank, the initiative is expected to contribute to environmental improvement, conservation of natural balance, and promotion of greenery in the region. It is also seen as a responsible step toward protecting biodiversity and addressing the challenges of climate change.
The bank further stated that the expansion of greenery is likely to enhance the attractiveness of Ilam, a major tourist destination, thereby supporting sustainable tourism development in the future.
