NIC Asia Bank provides CSR support to schools & social welfare center

KATHMANDU: NIC Asia Bank has extended various support materials to charitable organizations and schools under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

The bank has provided furniture to “Hami Saman Ghar,” operated by Paropakar and Research Center in Birtamode, Jhapa.

It has also supported Shree Satyeshwar Shivshakti Basic School in Nijgadh, Bara, and Shree Araniko Secondary School in Mechinagar, Jhapa, with educational materials.

In a program held on Jestha 21, 2083 BS, Chief of Central Operations Department Mr. Prakash Shrestha and Birtamode Circle Head Mr. Den Raj Subba handed over beds to Bishnu Didi Karki, Chairperson of Hami Saman Ghar.

The institution currently provides shelter, food, and care to more than 44 underprivileged, disabled, and elderly individuals.

Similarly, in another program held on Jestha 22, 2083 BS, Birgunj Circle Head Mr. Gopal Prasad Subedi provided laptops and a projector to Mr. Umesh Kumar Swarnakar, Principal of Shree Satyeshwar Shivshakti Basic School.

On the same day, Mr. Prakash Shrestha and Mr. Den Raj Subba also handed over a smartboard and laptop to Mr. Bishal Bhattarai, Principal of Shree Araniko Secondary School.

Shree Satyeshwar Shivshakti Basic School has more than 263 students, while Shree Araniko Secondary School has over 350 students currently enrolled.

The bank believes that the support provided to Hami Saman Ghar will improve the daily lives of its residents by making care services more comfortable and accessible.

Likewise, the educational materials provided to community schools are expected to strengthen digital learning practices, increase student engagement, and contribute to ensuring access to quality education for all.
