KATHMANDU: Siddhartha Bank Limited has handed over a range of modern maternity and surgical equipment to Hariyon Municipal Hospital in Hariyon Municipality, Sarlahi district, as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative.

The equipment was formally transferred on Poush 17 during a special program by the bank’s Madhesh Province Head, Gyanendra Karki.

The event was attended by Madhesh Province Minister for Health and Population Jangilal Rai, Hariban Mayor Ramesh Budhathoki, and local community representatives.

The donated items include a hydraulic operation table, a four-dome LED operation theatre light set, a patient monitoring system, a fully functional five-motor electric ICU bed, a fibre bedside locker, and an electric double-jar high-vacuum suction machine—one unit of each.

According to the bank, the support aims to strengthen surgical and birthing services in the hospital’s newly constructed building, enhance access to quality maternity care, and ensure a safer and more convenient delivery environment for mothers and newborns in the community.

Siddhartha Bank stated that it consistently prioritizes the Sustainable Development Goals and remains committed to contributing to social development through impactful initiatives.

The bank also affirmed that it will continue to expand such community-focused programs in the days ahead.
