KATHMANDU: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a phone conversation on Thursday with his Lebanese counterpart Nawaf Salam to discuss the ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanon, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.

During the call, Sharif expressed deep condolences over the loss of thousands of lives caused by the escalating hostilities and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to sincere efforts toward regional peace.

Prime Minister Salam, on his part, urged Pakistan to support efforts aimed at immediately halting the attacks targeting Lebanon and its people.

Both leaders agreed to remain in close contact in the coming days as the situation continues to unfold.
