SCT-UnionPay cardholders can now load mobile wallets in Nepal
With this service, users can easily top up their wallets such as eSewa, Khalti, Hamro Pay, and others directly from their SCT-UnionPay card.
KATHMANDU: Smart Choice Technologies Ltd. (SCT), the operator of Nepal’s SCT-UnionPay card, has introduced a new feature that allows cardholders to directly load funds into various mobile wallets operating in the country.
With this service, users can easily top up their wallets such as eSewa, Khalti, Hamro Pay, and others directly from their SCT-UnionPay card.
The facility is available across all wallets and merchant applications integrated with Nabil Bank’s electronic payment gateway.
According to the company, this feature enhances convenience for customers by enabling them to use their SCT-UnionPay card not only for point-of-sale (POS) transactions but also for digital wallet payments, e-commerce purchases, airline ticket bookings, and more.
Currently, SCT has partnered with 23 banks and financial institutions, along with over 100 cooperatives, to issue SCT-UnionPay debit cards.
Interested customers can obtain the card easily through SCT’s member banks and financial institutions.
