KATHMANDU: Scotland posted a competitive total of 207 for four wickets against Italy in their Group C T20 World Cup 2026 clash at Eden Gardens on Monday.

After winning the toss, Scotland opted to bat first.

Opener George Munsey starred with a brilliant 84 off 54 balls, including 13 fours and 2 sixes.

His opening partner Michael Jones contributed 37 runs from 30 balls, forming a solid 126-run partnership for the first wicket.

Among the not-out batsmen, Brandon McCallum added 41 valuable runs to bolster Scotland’s innings.

For Italy, making their World Cup debut, Grant Stewart dismissed Munsey, preventing him from reaching a century.
