SC halts ban on student organizations temporarily

KATHMANDU:The Supreme Court has issued an interim order preventing the implementation of the government’s decision to dissolve student organizations in universities.

Following the government’s move to ban student groups, eight student organizations jointly filed a petition at the Supreme Court challenging the decision.

During the preliminary hearing, the court ordered that the government’s decision not be enforced for the time being.
