RSP whip to give vote of confidence to PM Prachanda
In a morning session of the parliamentary party, it was unanimously decided to express confidence in the government, and a directive was issued to all MPs to attend the voting session and support the government without fail.
KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has instructed its MPs to vote in favor of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ with a vote of confidence.
In a morning session of the parliamentary party, it was unanimously decided to express confidence in the government, and a directive was issued to all MPs to attend the voting session and support the government without fail.
Furthermore, the meeting resolved to extend its support to the government and mandated all MPs to be present and cast their votes in favor of the confidence motion.
The RSP is a part of the new coalition led by Prachanda and holds four ministries in the current administration.
With a total of 21 MPs, the RASWPA aims to strengthen its alliance with the government through this vote of confidence.
