RSP wave a ‘Peaceful Rebellion’ for good governance: Bhattarai
He said this wave represents citizens’ aspirations for good governance and prosperity.
KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai has described the rising support for the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) as a manifestation of the public’s “peaceful rebellion.”
Speaking as a leader of the Progressive Democratic Party, he said this wave represents citizens’ aspirations for good governance and prosperity.
Bhattarai stated, “In the extraordinary context following the historic Gen Z revolt, the nationwide surge in favor of the new party RSP is clearly a reflection of people’s peaceful rebellion aimed at realizing their legitimate hopes for effective governance and development. This must be recognized by all.”
He further emphasized that, amid persistent internal political and economic challenges as well as external geopolitical pressures, RSP and its leadership must succeed in efficiently addressing public aspirations.
