Pandey warns party against mixed signals on PM candidate
Speaking to the media, Pande urged party leaders not to issue conflicting statements contrary to party decisions.
KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Raju Nath Pandey, elected from Kathmandu-3, has cautioned party leaders against making statements that could undermine consensus on the party’s prime ministerial candidate, warning that any hesitation could have negative consequences.
Pandey appeared unsettled when journalists asked him about remarks made by DP Aryal, citing Pandey as “a soldier of Balendra Shah.”
Speaking to the media, Pandey urged party leaders not to issue conflicting statements contrary to party decisions.
Targeting Aryal’s earlier comments, Pandey said, “I am not aware of what he said. If such statements are made, they are irresponsible.
The public will not tolerate careless remarks. Our prime ministerial candidate is senior leader Balendra Shah, and I request there be no confusion. There is no room for debate on this matter.”
