KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has convened a secretariat meeting today (Tuesday) focusing on organizational expansion and preparations for upcoming elections.
The meeting, scheduled for 2 PM at the party’s central office, will discuss 10 key issues related to the party’s internal structure and future strategy.
According to party spokesperson Manish Jha, the agenda will prioritize expanding the central committee and streamlining the party’s election management mechanisms.
The party is also planning to strengthen its organizational framework by expanding the roles of subcommittees on party adjustment and candidate recommendation.
Proposals to be presented at the meeting include setting the final date for filing direct election candidacies, establishing procedures for deploying proportional representation candidates, and preparing modalities for managing election funds.
In line with its goal to reach the grassroots, the meeting will also discuss provincial and district-level mass party enrollment programs and the formation of local-level “Candidate Clubs.”
