Robbery gang nabbed from Mulpani made public (photos)
Investigations reveal that the gang had been carrying out nighttime robberies across the Kathmandu Valley.
KATHMANDU: Kathmandu police on Wednesday night apprehended 10 individuals involved in an organized robbery gang in Mulpani.
The gang’s leader, Binay Tamang, originally from Kavre, was shot in the right leg during the operation and is currently receiving treatment at a trauma center in Kathmandu.
Tamang was also a fugitive from the Sept 9 Gen Z Movement incident, having escaped from Maharajgunj Police Station.
Police said the incident occurred during a nighttime checkpoint at Mulpani Chowk when the suspects tried to flee on a motorcycle. Authorities opened fire to prevent their escape.

Investigations reveal that the gang had been carrying out nighttime robberies across the Kathmandu Valley.
Police records indicate the gang has committed multiple incidents: 7 in Swayambhu, 3 in Budhanilkantha, 3 in Bouddha, 3 in Gaushala, and 13 in the Mulpani area.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to curb the gang’s criminal activities and ensure public safety.
